We are arranging an activity day in East Park for our members on Sunday, 3rd October, 2010 from 10am to approx 2-3pm with the following activities taking place:

Dog Photoshoot

We have arranged with Graham, a professional photographer (see picture of Bruce winning his trophy), to do a photo shoot session for our dogs.

We have got permission from the park manager to allow us to do this in the Veteran’s Pavilion which is located at the front of the park on Holderness Road.  Only 1 owner’s dog(s) will be allowed in at a time and the room is secure so you can take the dog’s collar & lead off without fear of escape.

Graham will be setting this up as a proper studio sitting with appropriate lighting, etc.

The prints will be sent away to be professionally finished and will be supplied in a folder.

The cost for a sitting including a 10 x 8 inch print in a strut mount is just £12 for members (or £15 for non-members)

Additional copies, alternative formats such as canvas prints may be ordered direct from Graham.

(Please note we have decided to bring this opportunity for a professional photograph at cost price to us for members only.  Non-members can come along but will be charged the higher price.)

To be able to keep the price down, we need you to pay on the day for your photographs as it would be unfair to ask Graham to give his time, take photos, have the expense of printing them and then no-one come back to purchase them.

Treasure Hunt

Cliff has volunteered to organise a treasure trail for dogs and their owners which will take them to various sites across the park.  It will be similar to the Easter Egg trail that the park rangers do for children.

You will be able to pick up a set of clues from the Veterans Pavilion on the day.  When you return after completing the trail, your dog will receive a prize.

We are hoping the Dog Wardens will be able to attend the same day to offer you the chance to get your dog micro-chipped for £5.

We will be able to confirm this at our next meeting on 9th September, 2010.
