Dogs Delight


After proving popular at the coffee morning, I have enclosed the basic recipe for dog buns to which you can substitute tuna for pilchards in tomato sauce etc (keep in fridge after cooking) –


  • 2 eggs beaten
  • Small amount of butter/margarine
  • Flour
  • Tuna flakes/chunks or pilchards etc
  • Garlic (optional)


Beat the eggs with the butter and add flour to get a basic cakes mixture (the consistency of a cake mix) and then add your choice of tuna/pilchards etc.  You can then either spread the mixture on a baking tray to make a flat sponge that you cut into pieces later or put into bun cases.  Place in the oven at 160-180 degrees and bake for approximately 15 mins but keep checking and remove when cooked.
